The Chesapeake Bay Bridge -Tunnel, Which Opened To Traffic On 15 April 1964 ,Extends 28.4 Km (17.65 Miles ) From The Eastern Shore Region of the Virginia Peninsula to Virginia Beach , Virginia , USA, The Longest Bridged section is the Trestle C At 7.34Km (4.56Miles) Long ,and the Longest Bridged Section Tunnel is the Thimble Shoal Channel Tunnel ,At 1.75Km (1.09Miles)
